Cross members are spaced to distribute point loads evenly, while the main rails are reinforced to resist bending under concentrated heavy cargo. Each unit includes four ISO 1161 corner castings that allow standard twist-lock stacking, chassis mounting, and lifting by spreader or crane. Lashing rings are welded into the side and end rails at regular intervals and are rated for substantial tie-down forces, allowing operators to comply with international cargo securing regulations. Forklift pockets are integrated into the base frame to permit empty repositioning without requiring special handling gear. The finish is typically a primer and marine-grade topcoat, with optional hot-dip galvanizing for extended service life in wet or salty conditions. This open platform design is particularly effective for cargo that exceeds standard container width or height, as long as the load is within the platform footprint and properly secured.
