मराठीContainer Family is a professional containers manufacturer located in Qingdao,China, apart from the standard shipping containers, we have also been deeply engaged in the development of special containers for many years, including DNV 2.7-1 offshore containers, equipment storage containers with door and window, outdoor waste water treatment containers and so on.
But what are the steps involved in producing a single container? Next, I will explain the entire process based on Container Family. It may not be as simple as you might think that container production is just a matter of assembling and welding. On the contrary, its production process is very long and meticulous.
The raw materials for the containers are mainly high-quality steel. Through processes such as unrolling, sandblasting, cutting, and forming, these materials are transformed into components like wall panels, door frames, and roof panels.
①Unrolling&Sandblasting.Unfold steel coils and flatten plates, remove the rust by shot blasting machine to improve paint adhesion.
②Cutting.CNC shears cut steel sheets into required sizes for corrugated side panels, door panels, front wall panels and base cross beams.
③Roll Forming & Bending. The side and front walls are rolled into corrugated profiles to boost deformation resistance greatly; While the door frames, corner posts and bottom rails are hydraulically bent with pre-punched holes for locking rods and vents.
④Other Accessories.Precision-machined cast steel angle pieces.
The side panels, front end, rear end, base frame and top plate all need to be welded separately. After the materials have been cut and embossed, the welding team will group together and weld the previously made accessories onto each door panel. For example, welding the bottom longitudinal and transverse beams together, attaching the forklift slots, bottom fixing rings, door rope hooks, and pre-installing cast steel corner pieces at the four corners to form the box body load-bearing base; welding the entire corrugated side panel and the upper and lower side beams into a single frame; welding the rear door frame, door column and door panel together, pre-installing hinge bases, etc.; and also welding the top panel with the top side beam and top transverse beam to form the top panel.
Assembly may seem relatively easy, but in reality, this set of procedures is a more rigorous and precise task.
Lower the frame to the fixed position, install the side panels on both sides, and position the corner fittings; install the front wall and the rear door frame, and weld the wall to the floor; finally, cover the roof to form a closed box structure. Container Family employs semi-automated technology. Human workers weld the side panels to the base, while the roof is automatically completed by the machine. This to some extent improves the welding efficiency and accuracy, and in case of machine breakdown, human workers can step in to take over in time.
Finally, perform corrections, calibrate the length, width and height of the container, control the tolerances, inspect the welds and gas pores, and eliminate weld defects and gas porosity.
After the assembly is completed, the box will undergo a second sanding and painting process. The second sanding process can remove the new impurities and welding slag generated during the welding process, thereby enhancing the adhesion of the surface paint film. The painting process includes a middle layer - epoxy zinc-rich primer (for rust prevention), a middle layer - epoxy intermediate paint (for thickening the anti-corrosion layer), and an outer layer - polyurethane topcoat (resistant to UV rays and seawater corrosion).
①Install the circuits, lay the floor, fix the door ropes, install ventilation outlets and other small accessories according to the customer's requirements.
② Hardware accessories. Install stainless steel lock rods, door lock handles, etc. The entire rubber sealing strip of the door frame is of high quality, effectively preventing water and air leakage.
③ According to the requirements of CSC, spray the unique container number, load capacity and nameplate,Company logo, etc.
Before delivery, conduct the final quality inspection to ensure that the container's structural dimensions, sealing performance, and container marks all meet the requirements, and then hoist it into storage and wait for delivery.
Container Family has more than 10years of experience in special containers with CSC/DNV/CCS certificates,if you have any ideas or requirements, contact us to get the specific quotation now!
