How to Paint a Shipping and Storage Container?

Step 1:Surface Treatment

Step 2:Cover Primer

Apply high-quality primer to the exposed steel surfaces, areas with insufficiently cleaned rust stains, and welding points.

Spray the corrosion-resistant intermediate layer primer directly on the remaining area of the container. This will make the surface smooth and prepare it for the subsequent application of the top layer paint.

The purpose of this step is to lay a solid foundation for the final paint application and also to provide rust prevention.

Step 3:Final Paint

Choose the appropriate coating, such as 100% acrylic water-based paint (which has advantages like waterproofing, corrosion resistance, and easy cleaning), and combine it with a spray gun to achieve professional and uniform spraying results. Choose an appropriate time to start your painting work and ensure that each layer of coating can dry naturally. Generally, it takes about 48 hours for the drying process.
